A Smoothie Bar has been opened at Hunter's Tominac Fitness Center.
It offers Starbucks coffees, smoothies, protein shakes, soft drinks and snacks. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Newman Fitness Center on Fort Stewart will be getting a Smoothie Bar soon.

Sign-up for Sapelo Island trip
Register by Friday for a chance to see Sapelo Island. The June 25 trip will include a hot, catered lunch on the beach, a tour of plantation homes and more. You could also see wild horses.

Teen Star Search at Stewart Youth Center
Fort Stewart teens in grades 6-12 will display their talents from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Youth Center in Bryan Village during the Teen Star Search. Judges will pick the best from performances that will include dancing, singing, rapping, storytelling, poetry and instrumental.
Top prize is $175, second-place $75 and third $50. The show is a Child, Youth and School Services event. For details, call 767-4491.

Father's Day Brunch at Stewart
Treat Dad on his special day with a Father's Day Brunch at Club Stewart from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The menu includes breakfast items, salad station, smoked pork carving station, barbecue baby back ribs with Jack Daniels sauce, barbecue chicken, cowboy baked beans, creamy coleslaw, vinaigrette-based coleslaw, potato salad, corn on the cob, baked sweet potatoes, cornbread with jalapeno and a peach, blackberry and apple cobbler bar with whipped cream and ice cream. Beer samples also will be offered.

Father's Day BBQ picnic at Hunter
Enjoy a Father's Day BBQ picnic outdoors on the patio of Hunter Club from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Hunter Outdoor Pool will be open.
Everyone's invited to enjoy Sticky Finger's famous pork and smoked chicken, along with baked beans, macaroni and cheese, roasted red potatoes, coleslaw, tossed salad, cookies, brownies, watermelon and iced tea.

Adventure Golf "Play Day"
Corkan Family Recreation Area has introduced "Play Day" every Monday as a way of introducing patrons to an activities or services at special prices.

CYSS Youth Sports registration
Registration for tackle football and cheerleading, and fall soccer will begin July 1 and end Aug. 15 or when all slots are filled.
Registration is open to CYSS members living on or off post. Football is open to ages 7-12 as of Aug.1, cheerleading is open to ages 6-13 as of Dec. 31 and soccer is open to ages 4-13 as of Aug. 1.

GC Golf Scramble at Stewart
The Garrison Commander's 4-Person Golf Scramble at Taylors Creek Golf Course will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. June 24.
The cost is $35 for active duty, military retirees, Army civilians and golf club members. It is $45 for civilian guests. The event will accept the first 25 teams. Register your team by June 22.

Sign-ups under way for Hunter/Stewart Independence Day scrambles
Registration is under way for golfers at Taylors Creek Golf Course and Hunter Golf Club who want to play in a four-person scramble as part of the "Worth Fighting For" Independence Day Weekend.
The holiday scramble at Taylors Creek will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on July 1. The cost will be $30 per person. The first 25 four-person teams will be accepted.
Trophies will be awarded, and individual golfers can compete in closest to the pin and longest drive contests.
Hunter's scramble will be played on July 2, beginning at 8 a.m. Twenty-five four-person teams will be accepted and the cost is $30 per person. As in the Stewart scramble, trophies will be awarded for the first, second and third-place teams, and individual golfers can compete in closest to the pin and longest drive contests.

Liberty County military registration day
Liberty County Schools will have a military registration day from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1-3 p.m. July 26 at their specific school for families needing to register students for the 2011-12 school year.
To help ease the military families' transition into the system, all schools will register students, give school and district information, give class assignments and create schedules, as well as answer academic and school-related questions for enrolling students.
For registration, families will need to bring: Social Security card; birth certificate; Georgia Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231) Georgia Certificate of Ear, Eye, and Dental Screening (Form 3300); two proofs of residence; proof of enrollment and attendance (report card/school transcript) in an accredited school; and departing school address.
