The David Turner Band is expected to have the crowd in Bradwell Park singing along to classic and contemporary country and rock songs at the first-ever Second Thursday Night in the Park event. New this year to the Hinesville Farmers Market, the Second Thursday Night in the Park will be held the second Thursday of each month through October.
Attendees can shop the expanded market and listen to the sounds of local bands. There also will be a free make-n-take children’s crafts booth.
“We are fortunate to have Georgia Power sponsor Second Thursday Night in the Park. Their generosity and support have allowed us to provide the community with a free, outdoor concert by a talented local musical group,” said Zach Claxton, program assistant for the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority.
The David Turner Band, comprised of three friends who grew up in the Hinesville area, covers songs by artists from many genres, including Bob Dylan, Bob Seger and 3 Doors Down.
Second Thursday Night in the Park attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic dinners. Downtown eateries and on-site vendor Shane’s Rib Shack also will sell food.
The David Turner Band will perform from 6-8 p.m.
