Safety as an adventure
Unintentional injuries at home result in an average of nearly 20,000 deaths and 21 million medical visits each year. The Great Safety Adventure is a 1,000 square foot, animated home that unfolds from a semi-tractor truck to create a replica of a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and backyard.
Families become safety rangers as they join a quest with tour guides and Rover, the Great Safety Adventure’s home safety hound, to search the house in an effort to locate common hazards concentrating in five safety risk areas, slips and falls, poisonings, fires and burns, choking/suffocation and drowning. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 3 at the Hinesville Lowe’s Store, 735 W Oglethorpe Highway.
It’s free and open to the public.
