The Hinesville Area Arts Council will host an art exhibit for May, titled, Art Alive! featuring acrylic and mixed-media artwork from young artists within the community.

A Splash of Paint Studios sponsored the matting and framing costs.

“In every child’s imagination there is paint and a paint brush destination,” Kyera Smith said. “A Splash of Paint Studios has taken the time out to help each child prepare their artwork and showcase their love for the arts in their own unique way.”

The exhibit will open with a free community reception at the gallery at 102 Commerce St. in downtown Hinesville from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
