Fort Stewart Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host “The Great MWR Post-Wide Yard Sale” on Oct. 27.
The yard sale will be in the Club Stewart parking lot and many homes throughout post housing.
The event will be hosted semi-annually following the sale on Oct 27.
Unique treasures from across the globe will be for sale at the event. This sale is an excellent opportunity to buy foreign treasures at low prices. The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no fee to attend and the sale is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Drivers will simply be asked to present a current drivers license at the gate and passengers over age 16 must also present a picture ID. Maps will be distributed marking the streets where the yard sales are taking place in post housing.
Active duty military and family members, reserves, retirees, and Department of the Army civilians may sell at Club Stewart for $5 per space. Families who live in post housing who would like to hold a yard sale do not have to pay a fee, but must sign-up. The sale of weapons, food and retail items will not be allowed. Registration to sale may be completed at the Fort Stewart Sports Office or by calling (912) 767-8238.
