Savannah offers summer art camps

SAVANNAH — The city of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting registrations for Summer Art Camp, which runs June 7-Aug. 27 at S.P.A.C.E. studios at 9 W. Henry St. Eleven camp sessions for children will provide an introduction to painting, ceramics, metalwork, mixed media and performing arts in age-appropriate group settings.  
Sessions 1–10 are one-week, full-day sessions open to children ages 6-12. These sessions run June 7-Aug. 20 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The fee is $135 per child, per session.  
Session 11 is an introductory, half-day camp open to children ages 4-6. This session runs Aug. 23-27 from 9 a.m.-noon and the fee is $75 per child.  
The fee of $135 includes all materials and only covers the child listed on the registration form. Campers should bring non-perishable bag lunches daily for full-day sessions. There will be no camp the week of July 5.  
Space is limited and advance registration is required. Full payment is due upon enrollment. Credit cards, checks, money orders and cash are accepted. Registration forms are available online at www.savannahga.gov/arts. Registrations can be hand-delivered or mailed to: City of Savannah, Department of Cultural Affairs, 9 West Henry St., Savannah, GA  31401.
