Scholarship pageants set for February

The Miss Liberty and Miss Long County scholarship pageants is planned for Feb. 23 at Brewton-Parker College in Hinesville.
The pageants are open to all contestants 0-16 years.
Liberty County Miss contestants ages 17-24 may reside, work or go to school in Liberty, Long, Bryan, Tattnall, Evans and McIntosh counties. Long County Miss contestants may reside, work or go to school in Long, Liberty, Wayne, McIntosh and Tattnall counties.
Both pageants are preliminaries to the 69th Miss Georgia Forestry Scholarship pageant and winners are required to represent their county at the state pageant in Tifton in June. Winners will receive a crown, sash, trophy and their entry fees paid to the 69th Miss Georgia Forestry Scholarship Pageant.
The Miss Georgia Forestry Scholarship Pageants award thousands of dollars in scholarships, cash and prizes each year on the local and state level.
Entries are available at Rita’s Bridal and Formal Shop, 131 S. Main St., downtown Hinesville.
