Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know if they are true, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Will barber shops and beauty salons please refrain from using profanity and vulgarity when you are cutting hair or putting in perms. Young people are listening and you are professionals.

I think they are going to release Carolyn Brown soon and she’ll be walking the streets of Hinesville, saying hello to everyone.

You can always tell when someone is lying to you by the tone of their voice and the way they keep repeating the same thing.

Parents, I don’t know if you know this but the middle and high schools are making students stand outside on cold morning. The board needs to be notified.

I agree with the Fifth District commissioner about morality being a private luxury. And I want to warn the commission that a luxury such as morality can also be costly.

Our first lady must be really warm blooded to wear a sleeveless dress to the address to Congress. It just didn’t look appropriate.

I want to thank the Food Lion employee who turned in the red wallet. He turned it in with everything in it.

I’m inquiring why the senior citizens bus quit
picking them up for the
center out on Tupelo Trail. A lot of those seniors don’t have transportation and it would be nice if they started again.
