Three people with ties to our area recently completed basic military training, one from the Air Force and two with the Navy.

Air Force Airman Daniel A. West graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
West is the son of Marguerite A. West of Hinesville. He is a 2013 graduate of First Presbyterian Christian Academy in Hinesville.

McCall graduates from Navy basic training
Navy Seaman Jermal L. McCall, son of Jermal L. McCall of Hinesville and Tonya D. Manning of Thomasville, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
McCall is a 2012 graduate of Thomas County Central High School of Thomasville.

Butler graduates from Navy basic training
Navy Seaman Recruit Sarah Butler, daughter of Melvin P. Kesner of Ludowici and Julia Kesner of Hinesville, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Butler is a 2013 graduate of Bradwell Institute in Hinesville.
