Avengers: Infinity War has a new release date.

Marvel Studios tweeted out Thursday that the movie has been pushed up a week to April 27.

The film, which is the first of a two-parter, was originally slated to debut May 4.

The announcement came after Robert Downey Jr. asked Marvel if there was any way he could watch the new Avengers film ahead of time.

Anything for you, Mr. Stark! Hows April 27th? asked Marvel.

The two then had a conversation and, well, now we have a new release date.

Twitter liked the idea.

Infinity War will kick off an extremely busy summer Hollywood blockbuster season, according to The Verge. After Avengers, Foxs Deadpool 2 will arrive May 18.

Meanwhile, Disneys Solo: A Star Wars Story will land May 25.

Thats a lot of competition at the movie theater in a compressed timeframe, and while there will be plenty of interest in all three films, Marvel does arguably have a secret weapon: 'Infinity War' will be the first Marvel film released after the stratospheric success of Ryan Cooglers 'Black Panther,' The Verge reported.

As the trailer for the movie showed, the new film will unite all Avengers against Thanos, a supervillain who has been poking around the various Marvel Cinematic Universe movies since they began.
