This is no April Fools' joke. Crayola, a week after announcing its plans to retire one of its staple crayons, has decided to end the life of Dandelion, according to The Huffington Post.

The Dandelion crayon, which comes in the classic 24-pack of Crayola crayons, is a yellow green or green yellow shade.

Crayola first announced on Twitter on Thursday its decision on which crayon to retire, sharing a video in which the crayon leaves the Crayola production room and goes on a journey.

The crayon will be retired from the 24-pack boxes but will always be part of Crayolas Color Hall of Fame.

And yes, because its 2017, Crayola hosted a retirement ceremony on Facebook Live on Friday morning.

The Dandelion crayon also gets its own retirement tour no, were not kidding. Itll take a four-week tour through New York; Orlando; Toronto; Easton, Pennsylvania (the hometown of Crayola), and Allentown, Pennsylvania, according to Crayolas website.

Crayola is also asking crayon enthusiasts to share photos of Dandelion from their own locations, using the hashtag #CelebrateDandelion, according to the companys website.

I can confirm this is NOT an April Fools stunt and Dandelion is the color the brand will be retiring, a Crayola publicist told The Huffington Post.

Sadness over the loss of Dandelion wasnt lost on social media.
