Have You Seen This? Rats in the kitchen
I love the movie "Ratatouille," but I hate this. This is not as cute and fun as the movie. Not even close. - photo by John Clyde

THE DISGUSTING REAL WORLD OF PIXAR Sometimes, videos have the ability to just gross you out. Like, get-you-on-the-verge-of-dry-heaving gross. This doesn't happen all the time, but this video did just that.

The video itself is pretty self-explanatory. Someone turns on the light in a kitchen and a huge amount of rats run up a pole and into a hole. It's as awful as it sounds.

For a brief moment I went all "glass half full," and thought to myself, "Maybe this group of rats saw one of my favorite Pixar movies, 'Ratatouille,' and got inspired to stop being scavengers and really add something to society."

Then the actual reality set in and I realized how disgusting that movie really is. This video makes me never want to eat out again. One of the things that disturbs me most about this video is the fact that the man who turned the light seemed to act like this was a daily occurrence and shooing rats away is just a regular part of everyday restaurant life. For those who have worked or work in the restaurant world, please tell me this is not just a regular part of everyday restaurant life.

Regardless, there is something terrifyingly hypnotizing about this video. It will gross you out, but you can't help but watch.

Now, watch the video as I go burn my copy of "Ratatouille."
