MUSIC CLASS I can't really put my finger on it, but the cello has to be one of the coolest instruments. It has a gorgeous sound, looks big enough to be menacing and kills it when it comes to covering rock 'n' roll songs.
Don't believe me about that last one? Well, that means you've obviously never heard of Apocalyptica or seen this video.
The cello group Break of Reality put together this rendition of Weezer's classic song "Say It Ain't So" and it blew my socks off. Which is hard to do considering my shoes were still on.
Something about stripping that song down and hearing it played on three cellos and one djembe is hauntingly beautiful and reminded me of three things: how much I love that song, how much I love the cello and how untalented I am.
