I don't know why I find these snake and bear videos, because I really hate them, but I can't stop watching. These things just find me. - photo by John Clyde
DON'T DO THIS TOWN I am terrified of bears, and I'm not a huge fan of snakes, but I have this uncanny ability to find these bear/snake videos, and I don't know why.

Self-fulfilling prophecy type of thing? Maybe the universe likes to mess with me and place them in front of me to throw off my day? I don't know. All I know is they make me uncomfortable, and I'm passing that squeamishness on to you.

I don't know where this is, exactly, but this guy mozies up to an incredibly deadly snake and decides to give him a back rub. Well, not exactly, but that's what it looks like. I guess giving a back rub will get you on just about anybody's good side, if it's wanted. If it's unwelcome, well, just about anyone would turn into a poisonous snake.

Regardless of this guy's back rub abilities, he appears to be the snake whisperer. After a few moments, this snake is basically like, "Well, I can trust this guy. Sure, I'll go into that burlap sack, because this dude seems legit."

Despite this man's calm demeanor and expert handling of the snake, I was just waiting for disaster to strike.

I'll stick to accidentally coming across a snake video online and avoid the actual physical contact. I'll leave it to this guy.
