Violinist Lindsey Stirling can check one more achievement off her bucket list: performing on a Disney soundtrack.

Walt Disney Records is preparing to release the soundtrack to Petes Dragon on Aug. 12. The album will feature three original songs, including Stirlings Something Wild.

A self-proclaimed 'Petes Dragon' fan, Stirling was excited to play for the films score in addition to performing Something Wild.

Ive always kind of hoped someday Id get to write on a score, be on a score, do some soundtrack work. So when I got the call, I was so excited. It all happened so fast. I cant believe that now Im here in London doing it, Stirling said.

In a video uploaded by Disney Movie Trailers on YouTube, Stirling said that she had never written music the way she has for the movie.

It was a really cool experience to kind of think, what is the boy feeling right now? If his soul was singing through a violin, what would it be saying? Stirling said.

Stirling has over 8 million YouTube subscribers and over 1.4 billion views on her YouTube channel. Currently, she is on a summer tour and will begin her Brave Enough North American tour in September, according to the description below the video.
