Jurassic World earned $652 million in the U.S., with a total of $1.6 billion worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.

Back in April, director Colin Trevorrow released the first photo teaser of the new film, which included a young woman standing before dinosaur fossils.

Trevorrow also shared a picture of dinosaur eggs, which are constantly seen throughout the Jurassic Park films.

Trevorrow previously described the sequel as deeper, more character-based, and it definitely leans into suspense, especially in the second half It does have the big action in the middle, according to Slashfilm.com.

The movie also features an insane action sequence toward the middle of the film.

Back in April, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Jeff Goldblum, who starred in two of the original Jurassic Park films, would return as Dr. Ian Malcolm, a mathematician who survived both the original Jurassic Park and the sequel.

Goldblums character also gave the film one of its most iconic lines, life finds a way, which also serves as the tagline of the new movie.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters June 22, 2018.
