Unveiling of exhibits, fishing pier planned

The public is invited to the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center on Saturday, June 8, at for a “grand unveiling” of the newly installed interpretive exhibits.  

The center will be open 9 a.m.– 3 p.m., with light refreshments being served from 2-3 p.m.

New interpretive exhibits have been installed at the Center, and the fishing/observation pier at the refuge’s front entrance has been rebuilt. The majority of the exhibits focus on the wildlife, habitat, and history of Harris Neck NWR.

The fishing pier will be temporarily closed to the general public from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for the refuge’s inaugural Kids Fishing Day. The event is currently full.
