The Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame, beginning its second year, is seeking nominations for this year’s class.
Nominations will be accepted until Aug. 29. There are three categories of nominations: valor, achievement and service. To download the nomination package and learn more, go to gmvhof.org. This year’s induction ceremony and banquet will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at St. Luke Ministry Center, 301 11th St. in Columbus. Banquet tickets are $55 per person and may be purchased at gmvhof.org by using PayPal or by sending a check to Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame, PO Box 475, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.
The primary objective of the Hall of Fame is to recognize some of the over 770,000 Georgia military veterans. An additional objective is to allow the hall of fame to be a source of history lessons for students throughout Georgia.
Donations may be mailed to the aforementioned physical address. Donors can be assured that 100 percent of their donations will be used solely to honor these former service members.
