American Legion to hold fish fry

The veterans of Midway, Georgia American Legion Post 321 will host their annual Fish Fry and Flag Retirement Ceremony Saturday, April 13. The fish fry will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is open to the community and will be held at 30 Butler Avenue in Midway. Membership and veterans’ information will be available.

Dennis Fitzgerald, American Legion Post 321 Commander, said, “Our annual fish fry has pulled in some great veteran volunteers to our organization. We cannot wait to meet new veterans this year.” 

The fish fry comes with a $10 plate of fish, potato salad, baked beans, and a drink

The Flag Retirement and Disposal Ceremony begins at 4 p.m.

In keeping with the tradition of The American Legion Post 321, the American Legion Post in Midway, thrives on community service and assistance to veterans. The scope and nature of the post’s community service will be determined by its members and input from local civic and community officials.

Since its inception in 1919, the American Legion has been a key advocate for veterans’ benefits, children and youth, patriotic American values, a strong national defense and quality-of-life issues for those serving in today’s armed forces.
