HINESVILLE – The Hinesville Area Arts Council (HAAC) is hosting the 18th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ in downtown Hinesville on Saturday, September 17 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

This year’s sponsors include the Shanken Team, Liberty CVB, Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, Jody Smiley Landscaping, Vaden Nissan, State Farm-Adam Herndon, The Heritage Bank, Ameris Bank, Edward Jones-Todd Lacy, Coldwell Banker Southern Coast, Southern Coast Properties, Coastal Plumbing Services, Century 21-The Home Team/Tony Duncan and New American Funding-Kelly Ambrose.

The event will have a barbecue contest as well as barbecue sales and other food vendors, beer garden and lots of live music. This community favorite event is fun and free for the whole family – attendees need just to cover their food and drink.

The barbecue contest is always highly competitive and features a number of local grill masters. Public sales will begin at 12 noon and the barbecue competition begins at 4 p.m.

The entertainment schedule is as follows:

·         11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - John Emil

·         1-2:30 p.m.  - Dropkick Turbo

·         3-4:30 p.m. - The Boondockers

·         5-7 p.m. - JB Strauss

The 18th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ will take place in the Bradwell Park area of downtown, between Main, MLK Jr. Drive and Commerce Streets.
