An early morning fire in the 300 block of Liberty Oak Lane has displaced 11 residents Friday morning.
According to Hinesville Fire Department Public Information Officer, Capt. Alex Mason, the fire was reported at 4 a.m.
The fire originated in an enclosed porch area located in the rear of the home.
Mason said firefighters were able to knock down the flames quickly and spent a good deal of time cleaning up hot spots. There was extensive fire dame to the porch and smoke damage to the inside of the home.
There were no injuries reported and the Red Cross was called to aid the displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
