More than 300 Georgia CASA affiliates, including 13 volunteers and staff, from the Bryan, Liberty, Ware and McIntosh counties of Atlantic Area CASA attended the annual CASA Day at the Capitol event Feb. 14 in Atlanta.

The day included meeting with Rep. Al Williams and Senators Jack Hill and Tyler Harper to ask for continued support of CASA and child welfare issues.

CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family.
