Authorities fall victim to hoax
LCSO

According to Liberty County Sheriff's Office Detective, Mike Albritton what was believed to be the body of a woman found laying on the side of railroad tracks not far from Dunlevie Road in Allenhurst was something entirely different - a mannequin.

Albritton said the mannequin was fully dressed and laying on its side when officers arrived.

By policy, Law enforcement officers are not allowed to touch a deceased person until the coroner arrives and a sheet was placed over the alleged body.

When the coroner arrived detectives began to check for injuries when they immediately discovered the body was that of a mannequin which had realistic skin and features.

Albritton said in all his years he never encountered anything like this and believes it was intentionally set up.
