The man accused in the stabbing death of a Raintree Apartment Complex resident was denied bond on Friday.
Richard Geiger, 54, appeared in Liberty County Magistrate Court and was charged with one count murder in the death of his girlfriend, 50-year-old Rosie Smith.
Investigators said the suspect fatally stabbed Smith near the heart following a domestic dispute in her Saunders Avenue apartment March 6.
Her estranged husband, Larry Smith, who had only been in Hinesville a few hours after arriving from Fayetteville, N.C, found her body partially in a hallway closet.
Geiger will appear next in Liberty County Superior Court.
