AARP offers tax-preparation help

AARP Foundation is providing free tax preparation assistance and e-filing of both federal and state returns for taxpayers with low to moderate incomes.
Tax preparation assistance will be available now through April 12 at the following locations:
• Live Oak Public Library at 2002 Bull St. in Savannah, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.
• Live Oak Public Library-SW Chatham Branch, 14097 Abercorn St. in Savannah, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.
• Statesboro Regional Library, 125 S. Main St., Statesboro, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
AARP Tax-Aide, in its 44rd year, is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service, giving special attention to people over age 60.  Those seeking tax services do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree.
