On local level, program benefits Manna House

As food banks around the country begin collecting food for the holidays, Kroger is making it easy this year to help “can” hunger in Hinesville through donations to the Manna House, a Second Harvest satellite food bank.
Through Dec. 24, Hinesville customers can purchase $1, $3 or $5 icons to help provide food for area families in need. All donations collected in Hinesville will benefit the Manna House.
“The Can Hunger campaign provides Kroger associates and customers with the opportunity to give back to their community during the holiday season,” said Glynn Jenkins, director of communications and public relations for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “Small monetary donations can make a large impact in feeding those who are less fortunate within the community.”
