Interstate Paper is supporting another credit union set to open in Midway by the first week in April.
Construction for the estimated 3,000-square-foot brick building across from the Midway Post Office is complete after about six months of work.
Officials say the bank’s membership services will expand to any Liberty, Long, Wayne and Appling county resident.
Stacie Branch, Interstate Unlimited Federal Credit Union president and CEO, said the new office was created “to serve our members better.”
“So we chose [the location] because it was close to Interstate paper and Chemtall, which are two of our sponsor companies,” Branch said.
The main federal union is based in Jesup with three other branches, including the new Midway facility.
Midway’s new branch is designed like most banks, according to Branch, and will include teller lines and drive-through ATM lines.

The Heritage Bank is also building another Midway office off Isle of Wight to replace its office on Butler Avenue.
A completion date has not been set and the bank is beginning the site work right now, according to The Heritage Bank representative James Rogers.
“Honestly, the building we were in was too small and outdated and we expect a lot of growth on that end of the county,” Rogers said. “And we want to build a facility to better serve that growth.”
Overholt Construction of Jesup is building the nearly 4,000-square-foot building.
The Heritage Bank also recently rebuilt its Ludowici branch.
The office will open March 23.
