Ludowici B-B-Q held its grand opening last week, bringing another eatery into Long County.
Owner and operator Sean Maloney said items available include ribs, pulled pork, brisket and Brunswick stew. He said that everything at the eatery is prepared daily and made from scratch.
Maloney said traditional barbecue seasonings are available, but he also provides specialized seasonings from California, Arizona and Texas.
Maloney said people can eat in or get orders to go. They also offer catering and provide special orders for functions such as parties, weddings and other gatherings.
“The food is real good, and it is great to have another local business here in Ludowici,” Ludowici City Councilman Mark Chesser said. “He’s in a great location, right by the courthouse and across from the school, and I encourage everyone to get some barbecue here. It’s as good as you’re going to get anywhere.”
Long County Chamber of Commerce President Don Melton, who also was at the grand opening, said the eatery’s opening is more evidence of the city and county continuing to grow.
“It’s good to have another business here in town, and especially a barbecue place where the cook has experience. The food is very good, and the prices are extremely reasonable,” he said.
Maloney said his business is open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday at 623 S. McDonald St. More information can be found on the eatery’s Facebook page or by calling 545-2274.
