Just how will the Affordable Care Act affect small business owners and their employees? Will it change how you manage your business?
In an effort to inform small business owners of the coming changes, the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Forum from 8-10 a.m. Feb. 28 at the Richmond Hill City Center in J.F. Gregory Park.
Presented by Jeffrey Williamson of J.L. Williamson Law Group, the forum will focus on key provisions of the act scheduled to phase-in next year including, the employer mandate and new taxes imposed by the ACA.
President Barak Obama’s re-election assures that his signature first-term legislative accomplishment, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), will remain on its path to full implementation.
Research has shown that a significant percentage of small businesses are confused about the new rules of the ACA and may also be misinterpreting how it will affect their financial accountability.
The ACA Business Forum is complimentary for RHBC Chamber members; the cost is $15 for non-members. A continental breakfast will be served and reservations are required as seating is limited. Reserve space by calling 756-3444 or e-mailing info@RHBCchamber.org.
