Amanda Scott has been appointed the public-relations director for the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
Scott, who previously was the chamber’s administrative assistant, will be responsible for writing press releases, maintaining the chamber website, posting content for the chamber’s social media and any other duties that pertain to communications.
“Her background supports this move, and we are excited to see what Amanda can accomplish for our members and the community,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said.
Prior to joining the chamber, Scott worked as a constituent-service representative for Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the College of Charleston.
