ATT Georgia Ribbon Cutting
Liberty County Chamber of Commerce board members, AT&T staff and community members hold the ribbon before it is cut at the AT&T Georgia grand reopening Dec. 2.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce hosted a grand reopening Dec. 2 for AT&T Georgia, 552 W. Oglethorpe Highway, Suite 114, in Hinesville.

Liberty County Commissioner Justin Frasier welcomed AT&T employees, Chamber members and guests to the ceremony and congratulated AT&T Georgia on its remodeled store, which is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Since AT&T acquired Alltel and started transitioning Alltel’s Hinesville location into AT&T Georgia, the company has been revamping the store design to fit the AT&T customer-service experience.

“We hope you enjoy the new design and hope you get to experience the new technologies we have here,” said Gary Sanchez, the regional director of external affairs in southeast Georgia. “The great part is that we continue to be involved in the local community and continue to support our customers here in Hinesville.”

AT&T partnered with Samsung to create a texting and driving simulation for the “It Can Wait” campaign, which was available for visitors to try, and offered smartphone, tablet and identity protection training during the reopening.
