The city of Hinesville recently published the 2016 Popular Annual Financial Report, a publication that is mailed to every household in the city.

A news release from the city said the PAFR is one way the city strives to provide citizens information about their community.

The city’s finance department has published the PAFR since fiscal year 2006. The report contains information about elected officials, services and the financial condition of the city. All financial information in the PAFR is extracted from the city’s comprehensive annual financial report.

“For the past ten years, the city’s PAFR has been awarded the award for outstanding achievement in popular annual financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada,” city Chief Financial Officer Kim Ryon said. “I could not be more proud of my staff for the work they have put into this year’s PAFR and I am extremely grateful for the cooperation we received from all City departments to provide accurate and consistent information to our citizens.”

You can view the PAFR and CAFR online at cityofhinesville.org. If you are a city resident and have not received a copy, you can get a copy by calling the finance department at 912-876-3564.
