Syntel West of Coastal Electric Cooperative has been promoted to lead line technician.

After completing his 2016 performance evaluation it was determined that West had completed the course work, acquired necessary experience, and demonstrated skills for a promotion from line technician.

West started at the cooperative in 2004, working on a right-of-way crew.

"We’re very proud to be able to promote a lineman from within the organization," Chris Fettes, engineering and operations vice president, said. "Syntel has worked his way up through the ranks and has proven himself to be deserving of this promotion. He was a valuable asset during the restoration of power following hurricane Matthew."
