SAVANNAH — Comcast, a provider of entertainment, information and communications products and services, recently announced it is launching next-generation DOCSIS 3.0 and moving from broadband to wideband in Savannah and surrounding areas, including several southeastern Georgia communities.
Effective immediately, Comcast’s new services will be available to homes in Savannah, Abercorn, East Broad, Bartlett, Wilmington Island, Pooler, Skidaway, Springfield, Pembroke, Richmond Hill, Darien, Hinesville and Jesup.
As part of the wideband deployment, Comcast is also launching two premium speed tiers to residential customers. The new services are geared toward households simultaneously using several computers or Internet-connected devices.
