Countywide job fair for Bryan County jobs
job hunt

The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce, the Development Authority of Bryan County and the North Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host a job fair from 3-7 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Richmond Hill City Center.

"We have many businesses and organizations based in Bryan County that are hiring and we wanted to give them the opportunity to showcase their employment options and a job fair is one of the best ways to do that," said Jim Gardner, 2016 RHBC Chamber chairman.

Sarah Williams, chairwoman of the North Bryan Chamber, agrees.

"Interstate Centre is driving growth in Pembroke and throughout all of North Bryan," she said. "This job fair is a great opportunity for our businesses to find the talent they need."

Job seekers should come dressed in professional attire and bring plenty of resumes.

"The DABC hosted a job fair in Pembroke a few years ago and it was very successful," added Derrick Smith, DABC chairman. "Our goal is to host this type of event on an annual basis, in partnership with the chambers of commerce and alternating between Richmond Hill and Pembroke."

Businesses/organizations that are interested in being a vendor at the fair must be based in Bryan County or be a member in good standing of the RHBC Chamber or the North Bryan County Chamber of Commerce.

There is no charge to be a vendor, but RSVPs are required by Sept. 1 to Justin Farquhar, project manager at the DABC, via e-mail at jfarquhar@bryan-county.org or you may call him at 912-653-3897.

Vendor set-up will begin at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
