The newest Ollie’s Bargain Outlet store will celebrate its grand opening in Hinesville with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. today at its location on West Gen. Screven Way next to Sears in the old Food Lion.
Ollie’s sells name-brand closeouts in a variety of departments such as books, food, housewares, toys, electronics, domestics, clothing, furniture, health and beauty, flooring and seasonal items.
“We are excited to open our 12th store in the great state of Georgia, where the folks have been so good to us,” said Mark Butler, president and CEO of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, in a news release. “With so many great deals, we’re thrilled to offer Hinesville-area shoppers a wide variety of name-brand merchandise at up to 70 percent off the fancy-store prices.”
Ollie’s brings about 50-60 new jobs to the community with each new store it opens, ranging from cashiers to assistant managers. Ollie’s employs more than 4,400 associates in its 188 stores across 16 states east of the Mississippi River.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Inc. was founded in 1982 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. It has locations in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Georgia locations for Ollie’s stores are Waycross, Warner Robins, Macon, Stockbridge, Snellville, Fayetteville, Duluth, Columbus, Newnan, Mableton and Carrollton.
