The Coastal Georgia Transition Council will host “Supports in the Workplace,” a panel discussion on the supports available to individuals with disabilities in the workforce, from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Hoskins Center at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. Vocational Rehabilitation, Goodwill, Kicklighter Resource Center, and the Coastal Center for Developmental Services Inc. will be represented in the panel.
This is the second of a series of council meetings devoted to improving employment opportunities and outcomes for individuals with disabilities. The council is a group of individuals, representative of the Coastal Georgia programs, agencies, employers and services which support individuals with disabilities both during and after graduation from high school. The council’s mission is to identify, reduce and eliminate barriers that keep students with disabilities from participating in their communities and achieving their post-school outcomes to the fullest extent possible.
