The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon cutting Dec. 18 for Milk and Honey Florist with a Splash of Paint at 3707 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Flemington.
Chamber Membership Coordinator Amber Barbaro welcomed owner Lakysha Jones and her family to the community and the Chamber. Chamber Board Member Levi Moody congratulated Jones on opening her new floral and paint shop.
Jones started Milk and Honey Florist with a Splash of Paint in Jacksonville. After moving to Liberty County, Jones decided to open another shop.
In addition to being a full-service floral shop, they offer children’s art classes and face painting, and host paint parties. They also offer wedding rental services. The store is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
“I specialize in big events and weddings,” Jones said. “I am not a traditional florist. I am out of the box.”
