ATLANTA — Brian Carter has been named vice president and compliance officer for Private Bank of Buckhead.
Carter previously worked at The Heritage Bank in Hinesville, as well as Peoples Community National Bank in Bremen. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Valdosta State University.
He holds the certified regulatory compliance manager designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers.
“I like seeing the real difference a community bank can make in individuals’ lives and the lives of the community, both through the way it does business and through community service,” Carter said.
“Brian not only has the compliance experience but gained that experience in a community-bank setting,” says Terry Freeman, Private Bank CEO and chief financial officer. “Too, in addition to his CRCM designation, he has completed extensive additional training on compliance and related subjects, making him well-suited to address today’s increasingly regulated banking environment.”
Carter is a long-time volunteer with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. He and his wife enjoy restoring antique furniture and spending time with their four boys, including 2-year-old twins, and a Great Dane, Veda.
