The Hinesville Downtown Development Authority on Wednesday awarded $7,500 to Dryden Enterprises for three Main Street façade improvements.
HDDA board Vice Chairman Matt Cardella and HDDA Executive Director Vicki Davis presented a check to Claude Dryden and Christi Wheeler for improvements made to storefronts at 122, 124 and 126 S. Main St. Davis said private businesses can apply for 50-percent matching grants up to $2,500 each per storefront within the downtown overlay district.
Dryden’s awards were the first for 2013, Davis said, and several more are available.
“HDDA would like to encourage other businesses in the Downtown area to join with them in making Hinesville a better place to live and work.  We are proud of the improvements that Dryden Enterprises has contributed to the downtown area,” HDDA Chairwoman Melissa Ray said.
