Hinesville has joined the Liberty County Minority Chamber, according to a city news release.

"The Liberty County Minority Chamber is a wonderful asset to our community and the city of Hinesville is proud to be a member," Mayor Allen Brown said. "When it comes to supporting new perspectives to increase opportunities for Hinesville and Liberty County, I will always be the first on board."

Established last year, the LCMC is a network of businesspeople and professionals working to improve the economic, cultural and civic well-being of the minority community by joining minority business owners with working professionals, education and resources, the city’s press release said.

"The Liberty County Minority Chamber looks forward to working together with the city of Hinesville to strengthen partnerships throughout the minority business community which in turn, enriches Liberty County as a whole by increasing the success and economic impact of a large portion of its businesses," said LCMC President Sabrina Newby.

The city is also a long-standing member of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
