Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists hosted a ribbon cutting and open house Tuesday in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
Certified Pedorthist Demon Thompson welcomed staff members and chamber members and staff to the event, which was held at 502 E. Gen. Stewart Way in Hinesville.
Atlantic Foot and Ankle Specialists offer treatments for foot and ankle injuries, wound care, diabetic foot care, heel and arch pain, varicose veins and nail problems, and other services. The business has been in Hinesville for a few years, but moved to a new location in order to better serve their patients.
“This new office is a better environment to treat our patients,” Thompson said. “We have newer technology, and it’s a more comfortable space.”
That newer technology includes an anti-gravity treadmill, which allows patients to get cardio workouts without stress to their joints.
“We want to educate people on preventative care,” Thompson said. “As a veteran, I know how important it is for soldiers to take care of their feet. Most of our patients are currently in the military or former active-duty. We want to support the soldiers because they support us.”
Vicki Davis, executive director of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, attended the event and thanked Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists for staying in downtown Hinesville.
“You have a great-looking facility and fine services,” Davis said. “We want to be a resource for you and your needs.”
