Liberty Transit will offer free bus rides Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Hours of operation are the normal hours:
• Route 6 (6:09– 9:04 a.m.) and (3:36 –7:25 p.m.)
• Route 7 (5:50 a.m. – 1:54 p.m.) and (3:30–7:01 p.m.)
• Route 8 (5:55 a.m. – 2:24 p.m.) and (3:31–6:32 p.m.)
“Free rides are a great thing,” Liberty Transit General Manager Theodis Jackson said. “It gives something back to the community. We realize that money is tight, and any small cost-savings duing the holiday would help our patrons and future customers. I feel the city has made a good decision in offering free rides on Christmas Eve to help with last-minute shopping.”
