Hinesville Professional Eye Care moved into its new suite on Highway 84 last week, and with the move comes an expansion of services provided.

Practice owner Dr. Joseph “Jody” Pittman said the expansion is a benefit to area patients and will offer a wider array of in-office surgical procedures.

“I am honored to have recruited the best doctors in their field to provide care to my patients here at home,” Pittman said.

Dr. Charles Harris, one of three retinal surgeons in Southeast Georgia, manages neurological conditions and retinal disease such as severe diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

“We’re his biggest referring practice … 10 years ago, I told him I wanted him coming to Hinesville, and now we have room to support him,” Pittman said about Harris.

Dr. Bahair Ghazi, a recent addition to the Georgia Institute for Plastic Surgery, serves patients in Hinesville each Thursday morning. Ghazi performs an array of procedures from Botox and cosmetic plastic surgery to more advanced reconstructive surgeries.

Dr. John Imhoff and Dr. William Dillon, D.O., perform cataract, glaucoma and various laser surgeries.

In addition to regular eye exams for all ages, the practice also performs ocular trauma, glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic eye exams daily.
The practice was established in 1964, and Pittman assumed ownership almost a decade ago.

“This project represents my dedication to our wonderful community,” Pittman said. “Thank you to our patients for their continued trust and support. Thank you to our local doctors and pediatricians for their trust and referrals.”
