Michaels, North America’s largest arts-and-crafts specialty retailer, announced that a new store will open April 6 at 252 Pooler Parkway.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:45 a.m., and doors will open at 10 a.m.
More than $1,000 in gift cards and prizes will be given away hourly throughout the day. In addition, customers can win items from the Plinko prize board.
The celebration will continue throughout the entire week after the grand opening event with free in-store craft demos from 6-8 p.m. April 7-11.
Customers can enter all week long to win a special gift basket to be given away each evening. On Saturdays, kids can attend $2 kids club crafting events that will continue all year long.
“We are thrilled to be joining Pooler community and we hope everyone will come out to help us celebrate during our grand opening week,” district manager Mel Standifer said. “Our new store features thousands of products that will inspire every crafter at any level from beginner to expert, plus classes for our customers to learn new skills in painting, cake decorating, knitting, scrapbooking and more.”
The new store will be approximately 18,460 square feet and will employ more than 60 people.
