JESUP — Chad NeSmith, general manager of NeSmith Walker Chevrolet Buick Pontiac GMC in Jesup, announced last week that the dealership hired Shawn Brookshire as the new general sales manager.
Brookshire has been in sales and automotive management for 15 years. Before that, he was a training officer with the North Charleston Police Department in South Carolina.
Brookshire, who grew up in Charleston and moved to Savannah in 2001, has received numerous awards while working in the automotive industry. He was named one of the top 20 producers in automotive finance by American Automotive and Financial Services. He also received several general manager of the month, quarter and year awards.
Brookshire and his wife Sharon have three children, Hannah, Davis and Emily.
The new general sales manager said he’s happy to join the NeSmith team. “I have long admired the way the NeSmith family has conducted business. The ‘no-hassle’ philosophy has revolutionized the way business is conducted. The car-buying experience is, by far, easier on the consumer with this format. The customer is put at ease from the time they step on the lot. Our sales team listens to the customers want and need and sells the customer what they want and not the most expensive thing on the lot,” Brookshire said. “I love being a part of the NeSmith family. The NeSmiths are always accessible and treat you like a member of the family. Being employed by a company like this makes coming to work so enjoyable.”
Chad NeSmith said, “Shawn is a great asset to our team at NeSmith Walker. He brings such great enthusiasm and work ethic every day to the dealership. He has a tremendous reputation and will do great things for our dealership. So come on over to NeSmith to meet him and see what he can do for you.”
