VANCOUVER, Wash. — Papa Murphy’s Pizza has landed on top of not one but two more best-in-class surveys. And to celebrate, Savannah-area stores will run customer-appreciation specials and more.
The news coincides with the one-year anniversary of the Papa Murphy’s Pizza in Hinesville, and Kix 96 FM will broadcast live from the store at 755 W. Oglethorpe Hwy. on Friday afternoon. Discount specials will continue through the weekend at that location, as well as the stores at 3488 Hwy. 17 in Richmond Hill and 201 Johnny Mercer Blvd. on Wilmington Island.
According to Zagat’s 2011 National Chain Restaurants Survey based on 6,064 respondents, Papa Murphy’s is the highest-scoring large pizza chain for the second year in a row. Outside of the pizza segment, Papa Murphy’s received the third highest marks among all large fast food chains for Service, Food, and Overall, behind Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out Burger.
Additionally, 6,800 consumers participated in a Consumer Picks survey developed by Nation’s Restaurant News and WD Partners, ranking restaurant chains on attributes such as food quality, value, service, and atmosphere. Papa Murphy’s came out on top in the Limited-Service (quick serve and fast casual) Restaurants category with the highest Overall score, besting 91 other national chains, including Starbucks, Jimmy John’s and Panera Bread.
Papa Murphy’s is the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country and a revolutionary of the take ‘n’ bake pizza segment. The Vancouver, Wash.-based company offers custom-made pizzas featuring pizza dough that is made fresh each morning in each store.
