SAVANNAH — Parker’s, a convenience-store company with 27 locations throughout southeast Georgia and coastal South Carolina, announced Wednesday that the company was ranked on Inc. magazine’s annual 500/5000 fastest-growing companies list.
Parker’s ranked No. 3006.

“We’re grateful to our customers for making this honor possible,” Parker’s President and CEO Greg Parker said. “Their loyalty has helped make us one of the nation’s fastest-growing companies. This honor further validates what our customers tell us every day: that we deliver the ultimate in convenience-store products and services at a fair price.”

To make the list, which will be unveiled in the September issue of Inc., companies needed to achieve significant sales growth between 2008 and 2011, must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008, and were required to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2011.

Founded in 1976, Parker’s has saved customers nearly $2 million since the PumpPal program first launched in February 2011, according to a news release. The program has nearly 55,000 members throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

The company plans to open new stores in Chatham, Liberty, Effingham, Bulloch, Jasper and Beaufort counties.
