Island Vybez hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening of its restaurant and The Ivy Lounge on May 3 in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce in Hinesville.
The event was at the restaurant, which has re-vamped décor, at 726 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. Partners Wil Wilson Sr. and Aaron Whyte welcomed customers, friends, as well as chamber staff and members, to the event. The Ivy Lounge is next to the restaurant.
The Ivy Lounge has a VIP Room, dress code and entertainment such as jazz, DJs, poetry sessions, game nights and, on the last Friday of each month, a Throw Back Party.
Island Vybez offers authentic Caribbean cuisine with reggae and Caribbean music.  The newest addition to the menu is the buffet, which launched May 3. “Our vision is to be the best Caribbean restaurant in the nation, offering exceptional customer service in a relaxing and serene atmosphere,” Wilson said.
“Welcome to the chamber. Thank you for becoming a part of our incredible network,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said.
