How do honchos in Georgia companies stay on the right side of discrimination and compensation laws? By realizing that following federal regulations is just the first step in being a law-abiding corporate citizen.
“Georgia Employment Law” will be held on Sept. 20 at the Coastal Georgia Center, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn about a range of employment law topics, including the creation of at-will and contract employment, negligent supervisor/retention of employees, defamation in the context of employment reference, and workplace privacy.
The LAW series will continue with “New Hire Documentation” on Oct. 18 in Savannah, “Hostile Work Environment: A Case Review” on Nov. 13 in Brunswick, and “Hot Topics in Employment Law” on Dec. 13 in Savannah.
Each seminar costs $69 per person. The fee will be reduced to $59 for anyone who signs up for three or more, and for groups of three or more people from the same firm.
